Members should log in to the members area to find out more!
Online event signup now LIVE!
At last you can now sign up to Green Register events via our website! For members this makes applying to attend a course even easier, because you simply need to log in using your username (email address) and password when applying for a course, and your details will automatically be filled in on the form! And for non-members it still makes the course application process a lot quicker and easier.
Unfortunately we still don't take payments by credit card and therefore you will still be invoiced via post for your course attendance fee, but we're sure that this new addition to our website will make everyone's lives easier!
For any queries, contact us using the form on the 'Contact Us' page or email mail@greenregister.org.uk.

We are absolutely delighted that Footprint Building, based here in Bristol, are now offering discounts to Green Register members - members should log in for further details.
On 19 February 2009 Footprint Building will be celebrating the
opening of its new showroom on Pembroke Road, Bristol with a launch
party for local businesses.
The opening of the showroom
coincides with the launch of Footprint Building’s new consultancy
service for architects and building contractors who are interested in
offering a range of more eco-friendly and sustainable options to
clients.
As well as working with other businesses to provide
advisory and project management services, Footprint will be supplying a
range of eco products direct to customers. The team also provide free
‘eco consultations’ from the showroom offering tips and advice on
everything from insulation to solar thermal systems. The showroom
stocks natural paints, non-toxic wood care and ‘green’ cleaning
products. Many of these products have been incorporated into the
showroom so that they can be seen ‘in action’.
Footprint
Building was launched in April 2008 by a team headed by local
businessman and property developer Ken Aylmer to offer sustainable and
ethical building and renovation services to individuals and
businesses. The firm also offers a sustainable joinery service, making
bespoke, hand-crafted wood products including furniture, folding doors
and sash windows, all made out of timber from sustainable or recycled
sources.

Gateshead Council Gives Green Register the Thumbs Up!
This is what Vince Heaney from Gateshead Council Design Services recently had to say about The Green Register: "Key performance measures and targets for improvement are driving up standards across the board in all areas of public service. In the area of sustainability there are increasingly tighter standards and National Indicators for per capita C02 emissions within local authority areas, and from local authority operations, for air quality, for controlling the percentage of landfill waste, for reducing percentage of people living in homes with low energy ratings, for improved biodiversity and developing standards for re-use of derelict land.
Architects and building design and property professionals in local authority have a special responsibility to lead and advise in these areas, and they in turn need to have as much opportunity as possible to gather knowledge from current and developing resources, and to exchange and share ideas and information. The Green Register provides precisely those opportunities."
Gateshead Council are members of The Green Register, if you are a local authority and would like to know more about the benefits of our membership please contact TGR team on 0117 3773490.
